Having played competitive football for 10 Years or so, a serious injury forced my early retirement from playing. I then decided to take up refereeing at the age of 27. After more than 25 years as a referee, also later as an assessor (having officiated in Europe and twice at the old Wembley Stadium), I then decided to take up sports photography as a serious hobby.

This early interest broadened into many other genres of photography, including nature, landscapes and travel. Complimentary to my taking of the image, the sponsorship arrangement with Fotospeed resulted in a passion for printing, also travelling the UK giving Print Presentations to camera clubs and other kindred organisations. I also present 35mm Slide Shows, using my own Twin Rollei Projector and Sound System.
